Gender Pay Gap
Shield Security Services (Yorkshire) Ltd
As of the snapshot date of 5 April 2024, Shield Security Services (Yorkshire) Ltd employed 385 people, of whom 26% were female and 74% male. All employees, regardless of gender or age, are paid the same hourly rate in line with their role.
The majority of our staff work as frontline security officers, and all paid the national minimum wage or above.
We are pleased to confirm that our pay practices are role-based and standardised, meaning there is no variation in pay between male and female staff carrying out the same duties.
As a result, any reported gender pay gap arises solely due to the proportion of men and women in the workforce, rather than differences in pay for the same work. The higher percentage of male employees reflects the wider gender imbalance within the security industry as a whole.
We are committed to equality, fairness, and inclusivity in all areas of employment, and will continue to promote diversity and equal opportunities in recruitment and progression across the business.
